k this worked for me so i hope it works for you if you have breakouts you should dab a little lemon juice ona cotton ball and apply to pimples.this will dry them up.do this 2-3 times a day. if its a late night you could place cold cucumber slices over your eyes for a few minutes to reduce puffiness and make you feel refreshed.if you had a rough day mash uppineapple and strain out the juice.massage the pulp onto dull or rough patches of skin.leave on for 10-15 minutes then wipe off with a warm washcloth.your skin wil feel super-smooth.if your skin is dried out mash up a banana with a fork until it forms a paste. add a little honey. apply to face and let sit for 10 minutes. wipe off with a warm, wet washcloth.this will nourish and moisturize your skin.

know heres a little extra hair tip!this is for dry hair

massage mayonnaise into dry hair and let sit for 30 minutes. wash your hair a few! times to get the mayo(and the smell!) out.afterwards, your hair will be looking shiny and new.Bad skin... mostly blackheads any tips to get rid off them?? (ex: homemade facemasks)?
Depending on your skin type, here are some masks to try:

For oily skin - use plain Milk of Magnesia, rub it on and let dry, then rinse with lukewarm water. It absorbs oil wonderfully!

For Normal/combination skin - mix one egg and 1/2 cup cooked instant oatmeal and a teaspoon olive oil until smooth. Spread on your face and leave 15 min then rinse.

For dry skin, mix one egg yolk, one teaspoon honey and a teaspoon olive oil and some vitamin E oil, if you have it. Smooth on and leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse in lukewarm water and pat dry.

If your skin is a bit dry you can put a dab or two of either olive oil on your moist skin after washing.

also:

INGREDIENTS:

1 tbsp natural yogurt, room temperature (not lowfat or non-fat)

1 tsp liquid honey

PREPARATION:

Combine mixture, then apply to face.

Let sit for 15 minutes.

Wash face with really warm washcloth.

For dry skin, use an extra teaspoon of honey.

For oily skin, add a few drops of fresh lime juice.
Cleanse your face with unboiled milk, gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk to remove the blackheads. Steam your face with herbs like lavender, lemon peel and mint leaves added to the water and let the skin soak up its goodness. cetaphil. its really gentle, and results aren't immediate but but it works really well.
I have the same problem...I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub...it exfoliates and cleans out your pores...Unfortunately you cant get rid of blackheads permanently but this does the trick.

  • Any ways to get rid of blackheads and blackmarks in skin?

i have a sun burn problem and so i am not able to use even sun screen creams. my skin is very sensitive to sunlight.herbal face packs too create tingling irritation on my skin, suggest some useful measuresAny ways to get rid of blackheads and blackmarks in skin?
Blackheads can happen to anyone, no matter what your skin type. Blackheads are caused by oil in your skin that gets caught and expands in the pores. Oxidizing from exposure to the air, the oil actually turns black.

what works for some people might not work for everyone but here are some things that you can consider.~

First, stop the problem before it starts. Use noncomedogenic, oil-free, water-based skin-care products. (Noncomedogenic means the products were laboratory tested and approved by the FDA not to clog pores and cause blackheads.)

If you change your skin-care routine and still get blackheads, speak to a dermatologist about getting a prescription for Retin-A, which is a strong exfoliant that opens pores, sloughs off dead skin and cleans out blackheads.

If all else fails, a dermatologic facial performed at a dermatologist's office involves a prescription-strength acid that gets rid of dead layers of skin and the use of surgical instruments to extract the blackheads.

Blackheads are a problem that should be treated by a dermatologist. But, if you want to try an over-the-counter product, a lot of people rave about Biore Pore Perfect Strips, which are supposed to lift out blackheads on your nose, forehead and chin.

    Hope this helps~

How can i get rid of blackheads, minor pimples, and have smooth, clear skin?

I have blackheads on my nose, and a few on my cheeks, some minor pimples, and if you look closely, you can kinda see my pores, not sure on the last one, kinda hard to explain, but what can i do to get rid of it all, i want smooth, clear skin, any helps appreciated, thanks.

btw, does the ';seeing my pores thing'; make any sense? How can i get rid of blackheads, minor pimples, and have smooth, clear skin?
try this linkHow can i get rid of blackheads, minor pimples, and have smooth, clear skin?
Wash your face somewhat gently with baking soda and water. The baking soda scrubs off the dead skin cells gently. Then take vinegar (preferably apple cider vinegar) and mix it with water. Then put on your affected area. Should clear right up! Drink lots of water to flush the toxins out of your system.

Do not use toothpaste or Listerine!!! And yes, your pores have gotten bigger than they used to be due to either squeezing or bad acne.
yeah well the pores thing i understand. there are medications for pore size reduction if you're interested. try using facial masks. buy them from the store pretty cheap like 5 bucks at most. just put it on for 15 min and then wash it off. do this 1-2 times a week and should help a lot
ok i saw this on youtube and it is amazing!!! it seriously works!!

juat get some lemon juice and sugar, then mix them together, and scrub ur face with it!!! it seriuosly works!! makes your face smooth too! makes u smell good and tastes good! mmm lemonade!

    hope it helps

    i dunno...

What should I do to get rid of blackheads and those sort of things(you know pimples and stuff) on my skin?

My skin is quiet oily. What should I do to get rid of blackheads and those sort of things(you know pimples and stuff) on my skin?
Go to a health food store and get 100% pure Tea Tree Oil. Use it like an astringent after you wash your face (don't get it too close to your eyes). I have found it to work beautifully. What should I do to get rid of blackheads and those sort of things(you know pimples and stuff) on my skin?
they have these strips that you put on your face and leave it on for like 10 minutes and you pull it off. they do a good job at lifting you plack heads.
use a skin cleanser for oily skin twice a day, exfoliate at least once a week, use a mask at least once a week for deep cleansing, eat healthy and drink lots of water. Do not squeeze the pimples otherwise you'll get scars on your face. Good luck.
Stop eating greasy food, exfoliate, apply skin treatment and repeat.
It's not proven that greasy food creates pimples, BTW. ANyway a blackhead removing mask. You can find it anywhere Target or Walmart. Clean and CLear, Noxema, Nutrogena, etc. Just find a mask that removes blackheads. When the mask dries on your face and you rinse it off it will pull those black head out. Also Pore Strips for your forehead, chin and nose!!
a lot of acne is caused by bacteria. Get a cleanser that kills bacteria, and don't touch your face the rest of the day. If you have to squeeze, wash your face and hands before and after. Be careful! Benzoyl peroxide can bleach your clothes and towels. I use a cleanser with Benzoyl peroxide, wash it off, and then I use a toner with salicylic acid, which usually doesn't bleach stuff. Those are the two most effective zit fighters.
skin irritations are due to alot of factors so what may work for other people may not work for you...i think you're better off with having a personal consultation with your doctor, you just have to go to a GP's medical clinic and have it checked, and if ur skin condition is beyond what they could treat, then that's when they will refer you to a dermatologist...i've tried alot of products out there for my pores but i found medicated cream and some prescribed pills only worked for my skin condition
Different people get spots for different reasons. I have clear skin, but I am prone to get a couple of big painful spots if I eat poorly. Chocolate is specially bad for me, so look at your diet - you are what you eat.

As for oily skin, again try not to consume to much saturated fat, and any oil - control face wash is good.

If this doesn't work you'll probaly have over active glands.

Dove products work 4 acne and acne scars and blackheads and whitening skin?

i use dove coz it moisturize my skin, i have dry sensitive skin, not sure though if it works for acne but i notice my white heads are gone and it minimizes open pores.

Home made face masks for oily/dry skin & blackheads?

Hi, i was looking for some info for homemade skin products, i have blackheads on my nose that don't seem to go away with facial scrubs %26amp; what not, my skin is in pretty good condition im just a skin freak and would like to try to make my own masks/ lotions that are not to expensiveHome made face masks for oily/dry skin %26amp; blackheads?
The only mask I know of for blackheads is geared to people with oily skin.

It would be a baking soda and salt mask. Fill a container with three fourths backing soda one fourth salt and mix it. Wet your face the message the powder onto your wet face. It can dry out your skin so don't leave it on for anymore than ten minutes, and try not to get it in your eyes.

That is the only mask I know of specifically geared towards blackheads.

I can give you some more masks for both oily and dry skin but I figured it would be a waste of time if you were only concerned about blackheads.

Just don't let any idiots convince you that a blackhead is dirt. Generally it isn't. Most of the time it's oxidized oil that is unable to leave the pore either because it is too thick or the pore is too small. Sooo now that I think of it. Before you do the scrub you may want to open up your pores with a steam. Boil some water, put it in a bowl, and put your face over it with a towel over your head. Obviously think about it and don't go and steam burn your face off :P If you want you can add an essential oil to the water of the steam. Tea Tree oil is best, it has anti fungal and bacterial properties which will help with skin issues in general.

    Addition:

Clay Masks - Sometimes you can find fairly clean clay at clean beaches (I try to avoid this one and by clay masks from the drugstore. Don't use clay from a craft store... They usually add stuff to those.) - Clay will absorb oils, temporarily tighten skin and shrink pores.

Egg White - Works like a hydroxy mask. It tightens the skin and helps unclog pores without overly drying out the skin. Wait till the white dries in your face and then peel it off.

Both peroxide or rubbing alcohol cane make a fantastic alternative for a toner. They both dry the skin out, kill bacteria, minimize pores and tighten skin; rubbing Alcohol more so than peroxide.

Calamine lotion can be applied to the face and will work like a clay mask.

Mashed up avocado and glycerin - glycerin can be bought at a pharmacy and should only be used on dry skin. The combination will soften and moisturize the skin.

Milk soaks - Have anti inflammatory properties. vary good for sunburns, allergic reactions and other skin irritations. Obviously it's no substitute for a doctors prescription.

Toothpaste - Gets rid of zits. - This ones kind of up in the air for me. I don't get how it would work and have seen evidence from both sides of the fence as to whether or not it works so... no promises with this one.

Allergy Drops - contain substances that constrict blood vessels to make the blood flow out of the capillaries and reduce redness. My opinion, it works but it's a waste of money.

Plain yogurt and oatmeal - combined together they make a great hydrating mask.

Lemon rind and juice (of the lemon) - combine juice and grated rind of one lemon, cover and let stand for 8 HOURS (a little crazy, I know, but this is considered a PEEL which has unique benefits faster masks don't have) remove gently with washcloth. The results are not as dramatic as a chemical peel but, over time, this will reduce the appearance of scars (except icepick and scars under the skin). This peel will also help with acne. May cause some lightening of the skin.

Sorry but I'm getting kind of bored for the time being lol so... there are many more masks and jazz. If you really want them just e-mail me and I can give you Lemon scrubber, a vegetable mix mask, egg and honey moisturizer and egg and peanut oil. There are sooo many of these things out there it's insane. If you can't find anything reputable online try the library. Old-school but lots of info.

The best thing you can do is drink lots of water, eat healthy and keep your stress down. Also, for many people, refined white flower and sugar can cause breakouts. Avoid getting hairspray on your face and don't touch your face if you can help it. When it comes to acne or oily skin keep in mind that excessively washing your face can cause your body to make more oil and not really help you at all, plus, it can just irritate the skin. I only mention this because you said you were a skin freak. Do everything in moderation. Too much cleaning can be just as harm full as too little.

Go ask a dermatologist. they can recommend something that will work with your skin type. I know people who have used proactive and they hated it.
    Pro active!
Use a strong face wash. For when you do get zits here are some solutions that will help you.

For blackheads, take a steamy showere, and when you get out, gently squeeze it with your fingers. NOT NAILS!! For whiteheads, place a wet warm washcloth to the spot. Repeat until it opens up and drains itself. Try tea tree oil.
clerisol ultra. it works best for my skin it works wonders.

Help with bad skin, blackheads, and breakouts?

i have pretty bad skin and school starts in a week and a half wat are some cheap quick things to stop breakouts and/or blackheadsHelp with bad skin, blackheads, and breakouts?
I have combination skin, its sensitive and oily and I've been fighting those under the skin painful pimples for the last 3 years. The best thing I've found so far is Differin cream .3% from the dermatologist. Its the new and improved one and really works well. Also, using a toner at night after you wash your face helps get rid of any existing dirt you might have missed. Change your pillow case every other night (I flip it over the next night) and changing your bathroom towel helps too.Help with bad skin, blackheads, and breakouts?
    I have the same thing...

Blackheads on nose Biore pore strips

Oily face Biore shine products(reduces shine)

Also try using the neutrogena line of the Oil free acne wash also it is a myth that if you wash your face more it will prevent bad skin
    1. wash your face regularly (sp?)

    2. touching your face only adds oils, so... hands off!!

    3. any type of benzoilperoxide will dry the blackheads/whiteheads in a few days.

    4. after benzoilperoxide, you will probably need a face clenanser that will ride your skin of excess dirt and oils... makeup can add to breakouts too, so not to much.

    5. you can get a good cleanser from walgreens or any sort of pharmacy/drugstore place, and an inexpensive one will work just fine!!

    good luck!
    Home remedies:

Apple Zinger Facial Mask (Oily and Acne Prone Skin)

Take 1 medium size apple, grated fine, 5 tbs. honey. Mix the grated apple and honey well. Smooth over skin and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.

Cool as a Cucumber Yogurt Facial (Normal/Oily Skin)

    1/2 cucumber

    1 Tbsp plain yogurt

Puree cucumber in blender mix in yogurt, apply to face. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse well.

    Honey Mask (Oily/Blemished Skin)

Massage a small amount of slightly heated honey onto skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Be sure to wash off all the honey with lukewarm water or the honey left will clog your pores, resulting in more acne. Wheat germ may be added for its abrasive action, protein and nutrients.

    Pineapple Olive Oil Mask

In a blender, combine 4 large pineapple chunks or 1/2 cup canned, drained pineapple and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Blend until almost smooth. Apply mixture to face with fingertips and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse face with warm water and pat dry.

    Tomato Blemish Remedy

    1 tomato, ripe, chopped

    1 tsp. lemon juice

1 T instant style oatmeal or old fashioned rolled oats

Blend all ingredients until just combined, in a paste. Apply to blemished skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay in place. Leave in place 10 minutes. Remove with damp washcloth, and rinse and tone.

    Honey Yogurt Exfoliating Facial Scrub

Mix 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar with 陆 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt. Smooth the mixture over your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off using lukewarm water.

    Oatmeal Exfoliating Facial Scrub

Mix one pack of instant oatmeal with water to create a paste. Once the paste is formed, dab the mixture onto your entire face. Let the mixture set for approximately 2 minutes and rinse off with cold water. According to experts oily skin should be treated with an oatmeal mask to get good results. Oatmeal when mashed not only acts as a great scrub but also effectively soaks away the excess oil from your face. The usage of oatmeal paste must be followed by a cold water rinse that helps in contracting the pores.

    Seawater

Wash your face twice a day in warm, salty water. This helps leave your face clean and oil-free -- without employing any potentially irritating products or soaps.

    Toning: Egg Whites

Using egg whites is the cheapest and easiest way to tone your skin at home. Simply separate a few raw egg whites into a bowl and apply directly on the facial skin after cleansing. Let the egg white dry for at least 15 minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water for an instant glow. For acne, take one egg white and put it directly on top of the pimple for 20 minutes.

    Garlic

Peel and mash eight cloves of fresh garlic. Apply to face avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave on for about 15 minutes. Wash off with a warm cloth.

    Toothpaste

Put toothpaste on your pimples before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel.

    Baking Soda Solution

You will need 1 tbsp. baking soda, 1 tbsp. water. Mix together ingredients and apply on face allowing it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it with warm water. Baking Soda is very cheap and one box will last you a very long time. You can also use baking soda as an exfoliator: be careful when applying it to your face, since it is a very effective scrub. Massage the baking soda into your skin for ten to fifteen seconds and rinse. Your face is now clear of the surface cells that will cause many acne spots.

See a dermatologist. They can help you find out what is best for your skin. No one here can advise you, as they are not professionals.
You should use a face scrub to get the pimples and blackheads off. Never pop them. They can damage your skin and leave scars. Good luck!
It is natural if you're still young and going through puberty. Stop eating junkies and drink more water.
I know a way fo helping you to remove the blackheads. First separate a piece of cotton pad vertically so that it is thinner and dip it into egg white and paste it on to parts of your face which have blackheads. It takes quite a long time to dry depending on the amount of egg white. When it is dry, peel it off and you can see the blackheads on the dy cotton pad. It only works when it is dry so you have to wait until it is completely dried. This removes almost 100% of my blackheads. Prevent your face from the growing of blackheads by using toner to close your pores. Good luck to you.
pro active its awesome there is on of the pro active bottles where it makes break outs go away in like 5 minutes!!!
if its quite bad, go to a dermotologist, where i live (in england) it takes AGES to get an appointment, and they usually only give you 1 for just normal acne if its REALLY bad and you havent responded to other treatments. go to the doctor, and ask for the skincare and oral antibiotics, they might try and put you on the pill, but dont go on it, it made my skin SO much worse.
Pop the zit and the reason your getting out breaks is because there is too much oil on your face so use Beorei (I think that is how they spell it) it will clear the black heads.

  • I have alot of blackheads and my skin is oily does proactiv work for tht too?

13 years oldI have alot of blackheads and my skin is oily does proactiv work for tht too?
Proactiv never worked for me-- and I have realllllllllllly oily skin. When Proactiv started making me break out in a rash, I stopped using it and I turned to Neutrogena's face cleansers (with no acne med. in there) but used the 3-in-1 step acne treatment. My oily skin is not as oily now and I have little to no blackheads. Hope I've helped. :)I have alot of blackheads and my skin is oily does proactiv work for tht too?
Proactiv could work for you, and it could not. I tried it and it didn't suit my skin. Plus it was a rip-off since it was so small! The best thing for you is to experiment with acne products until you find one that really suits your skin type. I actually got Acne Free from Costco, which is double the size of Proactiv and 1/2 the price, and it works for me which is good, you should try it!

Keep in mind that you shouldn't over-wash your face (keep it to 2 times a day) and that your face won't magically change the next day after using an acne product. Try waiting 3-4 weeks until your skin adjusts to it.
read the article, it may work for you

I am a 25 y/o F w/ sensitive skin and have some acne and blackheads. What would be the best treatment for it?

I would like to have a clear, even complexion that I don't have to cover with makeup. thanksI am a 25 y/o F w/ sensitive skin and have some acne and blackheads. What would be the best treatment for it?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.I am a 25 y/o F w/ sensitive skin and have some acne and blackheads. What would be the best treatment for it?
Aloe Vera? this a nature oil always benefit your skin with vitamin E that your skin need to fuel with so just apply it in night time before you hit the bed and the next day you will find that your skin became more soft and clear just keep doing applying it for a while so to get the most of it best of luck and keep well
Apply a honey mask to your face once or twice a week. Honey has antibacterial properties so it is great for disinfecting and healing blemishes. It is also gentle on sensitive skin. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
Do a weekly tomato mask. Place thin tomato slices over your face and let sit 10-15 minutes so the juices seep in. Follow up by slicing another tomato in half and rubbing the smooth side of both halves in small circles over the skin. Rinse with warm water. The lycopene declogs pores and acts as a natural astringent to eliminate acne causing bacteria.
If you really want to cure your acne at age 25 you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

You can learn about the fasest system and one of the most popular guides that can help you to get rid of your acne from the inside here:

Whats the best way to get rid of spots and blackheads and have the perfect skin?

Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.

Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.

Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.

Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads

鈥xfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs.

鈥se creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and ';expose'; the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.

鈥void washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

鈥ften use a mask with a clay base.

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.

Steam your face to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores.

=)Whats the best way to get rid of spots and blackheads and have the perfect skin?
Clean your face more than once a day. I think salicyclic acid products work best, but some people say they burn. Benzyoil peroxide products burn me and work great for others. You'll have figure out which one works best for you.

Perfect skin might not what you have under the acne... sorry to say, and it might never clear completely up... it has to do with your skin type. See a dermatologist to be sure what to use, and you can try for perfect skin.Whats the best way to get rid of spots and blackheads and have the perfect skin?
get surgery, and replace your skin like in the movie Face Off with Nicholas Cage
wash your face twice a day- once in the morning, once at night. use Clean and Clear blackhead scrub and the acne scrub and you will see result right away!! also, don't touch your face a lot or pimples/zits will appear more.

    hope this helps!!

    Dear Friend,

Make paste with rice flour and lime juice or rose water and apply this on your face, leave it for 10 minutes and then just scrub your face and wash with cold water. By doing this you can see the markable change, especially on your nose within 15 days. At night, before you go to bed gently apply vaseline on your face, it helps you to keep your skin soft.

    With regards,

    Mrs.Sridevi Sampath.
Try Biore Pore Pack. It's specialized for nose blackhead.

I have some acne not alot blackheads and oily skin?

Ive been usig proactiv for like 6 months. but i dont think its working.Ive been drinking alot of water/fresh squeezed orange juice. but i wanna know what is the fastest and easiest wayy to get rid of acne/blackheads/oily skin. What bar of soaps do i use or moisturizers etc.I have some acne not alot blackheads and oily skin?
use the new stridex its in a purple-ish container. it has acne pads and also acne removing gel.I have some acne not alot blackheads and oily skin?
Don't, clog up your skin with all those creams, use a facial cleanser before you go to bed and then rub your entire face with alcohol. This is kind of painful up till you get use to it, but it worked for me. Also do the same in the morning before you start your day. and you have to stay consistent.
I am using proactive, too and I found out that some foods(or drinks) can cause acne. When you eat or drink something, see which foods are causing the acne and stop eating them. If you have long hair, cut your bangs. Sometimes oily hair puts oils on your face and gives you acne. You might want to get proative's green tea moisturizer. There is no cure for acne yet, so you're gonna have to keep using proactive.
what I do is wash your face every morning and every night and it will slowly go away. once you have none (it will take awile) youll wont have zits very often.

Is it true that lemons are good for your skin (blackheads)?

  • What products or regimens work well to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads and don't dry out the skin?

I have very acne prone skin, and i've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it! My dermatologist perscribed a benzoil peroxide cream, and it dries my skin out very badly. I saw on TV a Murad Acne Complex thing, and it seemed to work, but i'm not so sure. I have very low self esteem because of my acne, and i think it would go way up, if i got rid of my acne! Anything from store bought things, and home remedies would be very helpful!

I also was wondering how to get rid of acne scars, i used to pop my pimples and now I have terrible scars.

Another thing, i had the chicken pox when I was younger, and I now have large indents all over my face from scars. my dermatologist did a little surgery on one of them, and it only made them worse.

PLEASE HELP ME!What products or regimens work well to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads and don't dry out the skin?

Apply a thin film of adapalene gel once daily before bedtime. Its mainly available in the form of ';Differin';. Its highly recommended! A word of caution though, adapalene can increase the sensitivity of skin to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, so prolonged exposure should be avoided by judicious use of sunscreens and protective clothing.

Following this routine, in a matter of days you will be getting rid of blackheads.

Does Toothpaste really work on ur skin to get ride of pimples and blackheads?

ive heard alittle about this and i have blackheads really bad on my nose and i want them gone. can someone tell me step by step to get them gone using toothpaste or something i have at home. thanksDoes Toothpaste really work on ur skin to get ride of pimples and blackheads?
My sister's boyfriend told me about this. I tried it and it works. I use crest, which is probably the safe choice, as i hear, but it also works more slowly. it definately reduced the pimples. just apply a small drop to the affected area and rub it in a little, btw i also use a the wave by nutregena to clean it before i apply the toothpaste. also i did research and it says it could leave you worse than before you applied the toothpaste with redness and irritation, but my personal experience is that it worked fine.Does Toothpaste really work on ur skin to get ride of pimples and blackheads?
No it doesn't work. It just dries out your skin and makes it all crusty and it burns. Don't do it!
toothpaste works... otherwise baking soda... vinegar..... but i would suggest going to a store and getting some biore nose strips and exfoliation face wash. it works great!
No it really really doesn't at all! I used it once and it made it totally worse!
Apply toothpaste to your face using a tattoo needle.
I've never tried it myself but I hear it actually works. Beauty queens even use it so why not give it a shot?

How would a dermatogogist treat someone with blackheads and dry skin?

severe blackheads on face and very dry skin on handsHow would a dermatogogist treat someone with blackheads and dry skin?
All i have to say is that Bank, sorry, is incorrect. Candy, chips, cookies ,soda, ect. DO NOT CAUSE BLACK HEADS OR ACNE. After a recent trip to the dermatol. office, our doctor confirmed that the ';junk food myth'; is fully wrong. How would a dermatogogist treat someone with blackheads and dry skin?
Steam your face once a week for 3 to 4 minutes to open up the pores. Use a home made face scrub using the white of an egg and a little salt.More cheap and natural remedies for black and white heads at the link below.
read tips on treating acne, skincare and home remedies to help you better on this site
for you sensitve skin wash you hands with warm water, not too hot and not too cold. wahsing your hands with too much hot or cold water will rob your skins oils which is its moistures. after washing your hands apply vasiline. for your blackheads, dont eat junk food (chips, cookies, candy). drink lots of water, dont itch, wash your face with warm water... these are home remedies things you can do without dermatology. if these tips dont work see a dermatogogist
depending on how severe your blackheads are, a dermotologist will perscribe a topical cream for mild cases and a pill such as doryx for severe cases. although doryx can only be purchased over the counter or at your local dermotologist's office, it is a highly effective way of treating acne. for dry skin, you might consider a product called aquaphor or eucream. these products work well on repleshing skin and are specially used for exema or very dry skin.

How can i get rid of blackheads even if i have very dry skin?

my skin is very dry and nothing seems to workHow can i get rid of blackheads even if i have very dry skin?
You just gotta wait it out, they've probably scarred. But just wash your face often, keep it clean,How can i get rid of blackheads even if i have very dry skin?
Bandages work almost as well as clear pore strips, and they're a lot cheaper. Wash and dry skin. Stick the bandage to the problem area. Wait several minutes. Slowly peel away the bandage, and hold it up to the light to see the hairlike innards of the blackheads you just pulled out.
i would try using facial cleansers and moisturizers every day. the brand that works on me best is VELOCITY by mary kay
Try Neutrogena's Blackhead Eliminating 2-in-1 Foaming Pads. They come in a little orange plastic pouch at any drug store. I used to have a ton of blackheads on my nose and I started using this, after the first or second use they were all gone, no lie. You have to keep using them somewhat regularly, every 2 or 3 days, but it's worth it. I don't think it will dry out your skin any more, but if it does, use moisturizer.
my friend says scrubbing her nose with a washcloth gets out blackheads , but it's extremely bad for your skin!!!! you might want to try simple pore washing cleansers/creams that are not oil-free. biore has a great line of products especially the warming blackhead cream cleanser, which is oilfree but doesnt dry out skin. biore doesnt dry your skin out like the other brands, and i have dry skin as well but biore has worked for my blackheads!try it out! deep c leansing pore strips from biore work well too!!
i would recommend to wash your face more often, since u have dry skin. Wash ur face might make ur face dryer.

Sometimes, I used white egg and cotton butt, then let it dry. Peel it off.
    Biore skin strips
use a face steamer or if u dont hav 1 put ur face over boiling water so u get 2 the steam...stay there for 5 minutes...then if u can gently remove them. if this doesnt work use an exfoliater everyday. make sure u moisturize after.

    hope i helped
I used to have a problem similar to this, so I can sympathize. I found a great product by Clean %26amp; Clear called Continuos Control Acne Cleanser. It is great for getting into your pores and taking out the blackheads.

I looked up the ideal routine for dry skin with blackheads on www.cleanandclear.com. Here is the link:

All this products will help your dry skin. You can buy them at the local Wal-mart.

Using a spot treatment product will help the really bad blackheads.

Sometimes you can get rid of the blackheads that stick out in your skin with your own two hands. Here's how:

    1) Wash face and hands thoroughly

    2) Turn your head at almost 90 degree angle

    3) With index fingers- Point the two fingers at each other, with the blackhead in the middle of the two.

    4) Press the nails of the fingers kind of hard into the skin, and press them together. Try to get under the black head, and it will just pop off.

    5) Wash face and hands thoroughly

It may not be the best way to get rid of them, but if you need to get it gone for a party the same day or something it works.
i had bad acne and and than my mom brought home this stuff it is called clearsil and u can get it at walmart !!!!!

What effect does squeezing blackheads to get rid of them have on your skin?

I know it makes the skin red, but it gets rid of them. Is there any scarring for this. ugh my skin is soo bad. grrr, lol-thanks.What effect does squeezing blackheads to get rid of them have on your skin?
When I went to get a facial they squeezed my comedones (blackheads) out. My suggestion, if you are going to squeeze them out use gloves, then splash your face with cold water to tighten the pores. If you don't use gloves, the bacteria on your fingers is bound to create more comedones in the surrounding area. You could always go to a dermatologist if you have skin problems. What effect does squeezing blackheads to get rid of them have on your skin?
i'm deff. a pick aholoic!! i'm so bad about it. but when u fid something that helps to prevent them like i did then u don't have to worry about the picking and just get on with repairing your face from where u damaged from picking. and yes picking does most deff. damage your skin. this is what worked for me it was avon's prefessional acne treatment. i got it at www.youravon.com/virginiakeller it's on sale there and i got free shipping they also have some really greta products that will help repair damaged skin and retexturize and even out you complexion.
As long as you disinfect your skin afterwards, you should be ok, the hole closes up pretty quick. Other ways to remove blackheads is using the wax that removes hair, pressed against the skin, blackheads come away too and also a syringe without the needle. The suction pulls them right out.
Yes, I did it and sometimes still do. I have scars and large pores. Don't do it unless it's REALLY big, those heal much faster than the little ones if you pop them.
See that's the problem, you all have your fingers in face... Yes it is bad to pop them because it creates holes in your face and they are lasting...

Can sum1 give me a reallly good home made facial recipe for oily skin, 1 to remove blackheads!!?

n also stuff that i would actually have in my kitchen pllease lolCan sum1 give me a reallly good home made facial recipe for oily skin, 1 to remove blackheads!!?
well... i dont know that you have in your kitchen but...

different thinga work on different peoples skin, you could try tea tree oil or lavender oil to calm the skinvor aloe

    ,

wash your face twice daily, keep your fringe and hair off your face as much as possible. also sleep with a towel wrapped around your pillow; to absorb any oils or grease from your face.

I liked the St ives apricot its very natural, smells good and gives a deep clean, if your not familiar with an expholiator be aware that some dont find it a pleasent experience(it doesnt hurt) (you can make a similar mixture at home with oatmeal...

    1 Cup Rose Petals

    1 Cup Lavender Flowers

    1 Cup Whole Oatmeal

    1/2 Cup Chopped Almonds

    %26amp;

Coffee Grinder, Food Processor or Blender

    1. Grind together all the ingredients until the texture is quite fine. Store in an air tight container.

    2. To use the scrub, rub a handful gently onto damp skin in small, circular motions. Allow it to dry on the skin for a minute or so, then rinse off.)

for me different products work at different times, i find witch hazel has generally been the best http://www.witchskincare.com/products.as鈥?/a> i use the foaming wash three times a day and the expholiating gel wash about three times a week (using it too often will make your skin more greay and prone to spots) and the witch stick is perfect for quick treatments to calm blemishes, i like to use this before i go to bed and leave it on over night.

as for scars, i dont get any deep scaring with witch! but i do like to use http://www.boots.com/shop/product_detail鈥?/a> no7 from boots, if you buy it at the right time you can save a lot of money (they have 3 for 2 atm!) and that covers any light scars and blemishes and it doesnt effect my skin, even if i forget to take it off at night!

i find the best was to prevent scars is to just avoid temptation to pop or touch the pimples, if you are tempted, try washing your face. i find it helps stop the urge! if you really feel that you have to, take a shower and let the steam open your pores, that should make it easier to pop and reduce scarring. if you have any aloe vera or tea tree oil this will also help.

*if a product burns your face STOP USING IT IMMEDIATLY!!!!

*TOOTHEPASTE does NOT work, it only burns and dries out the skin* it will just leave a red sore on your skin, making it more noticable! and leave scars

concealor will cover it but i always thinks that it makes spots more noticable so try not to use too much! also be aware that this could irritate the spot more!!!

    good luck

-xXx-Can sum1 give me a reallly good home made facial recipe for oily skin, 1 to remove blackheads!!?
Look, no one is perfect. Granted, genes make some people look like pepperoni pizzas whilst other look like the stepped off the cover of ';Vogue';, but its not your fault you have pimples. Always remember your true friends don't care what you look like, and that inner beauty is more important, whether your a girl or guy. There's a site for young girls; www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 , but it has great tips on there that can work for anyone.

Check your habits. Do you prop up your chin with your hands? Thats asking for chin zits. Clean your specs often so you won't get pimples on the bridge of your nose.

Don't pop them! If you want them to go away, make a paste of baking soda and water and dab it on the zit, then go to sleep. In the morning it should be dried up. Also, toothpaste or honey works for some people, but its not recommended.

Every other day, use normal table salt and water to wash your face. The salt will scratch the dead skin off your face, and help prevent pimples. Don't scrub too hard, or it'll hurt.

My brother gets zits all the time, so I'm somewhat of an 'expert', lol! Let me know if it works and if you need more help!
try giving your boyfriend some head and just before he blows his load have him pull out and blow his load on your face, i hear it gives the skin a nice smooth blemish free appearence.

An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details log to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/
    You will need:

2 tablespoons baking soda, 2 tablespoons water, small bowl, spoon

In the bowl stir the baking soda and water together. gently rub the mixture on your face and leave for 2 min. then rinse with warm water.

This should work for your blackheads. Good luck!!!

  • Does anybody know any good products to get rid of pimples and blackheads on African American skin?

Steam regularly. Don't poke or extract your blackheads harshly like there is no tomorrow. i do believe that we have the same, oily to combination skin type, especially around our T-Zone irregardless of our skin color. It is interesting for people to think that avoiding creams can help solve oily skin. But its wrong. You just have to find the right-based cream. Cream and Water-based works best for skin like ours. Veer away from oil based creams during day time, you can use them during the night.

You can best help your skin if you do the 3-step facial regimen: wash, tone and moisturize. Washing helps remove dust that accumulated on the surface of the skin, toning provides additional cleaning as well as it preps the skin by removing dead skin cells that can just block healthy cells' absorption of the third step, the moisturizer.

The key is to be able to find the right product to help you with your problem. I can suggest the brand: Mario Badescu. They have a line of products that really is good for our type of skin, I personally recommend the Enzyme Cleansing Wash, Cucumber Toner and the best HONEY MOISTURIZER. If you use these products, they don't have the same ''stretched-dry-skin'; that other products leave. This is often the misconception of people, that dryness and no oil means clean skin. What Mario Badescu does is gently and effectively clean it. Plus they're natural.

For additional cleaning and maintenance on acne, try their DRYING LOTION pink stuff that you put on your pimples which dries it, ACNE GEL, which serves as your drying lotion maintenance during day time. To Remove black marks that are left by acne, use their GLYCOLIC WASH and BUFFER LOTION. They have also the Healing Powder which works wonders. Their instant Rollin Cream also sheds dead skin in just about a minute, it leaves a fresher more softer skin surface. Check out their line of products online. I dont work for them, its just that they really work and i would like to share it with you.Does anybody know any good products to get rid of pimples and blackheads on African American skin?

I tried Proactive and it made my face dry - not to mention it has some pretty harsh chemicals in it. I like Arbonne's Clear Advantage Acne line - it has a cleanser, toner, and lotion and a vitamin that clears the toxins out of your skin. my brothers use opal soap, its especially made for blacks and it works pretty good on them...

Anyone have any experience with Proactive skin care? The reviews are very mixed, I have even heard that it will bleach your clothes? What mask or facial wash will reduce my pores, clear blackheads, and moisturize my skin?

I currently only use Burt Bee's products on my body; There aren't many beauty products out there that aren't toxic:

Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

    * Mineral Oil, Paraffin %26amp; Petrolatum – Petroleum products coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatological issues, like slowing cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer %26amp; Disruptive of hormonal activity.

    * Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

    * Phenol carbolic acid– Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

    * Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, may inhibit skin cell growth, and is a skin irritant and sensitizer.

    * Acrylamide– Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

    * Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)– Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived'; - and is found in many popular body washes and toothpastes!

    * Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

    * Dioxane– Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.

Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil for me about a year and a half ago, and I've been using it ever since. You can get it at CVS or any local pharmacy. It's non-comedogenic and fragrance free. It says it really helps restore skin's natural protective barrier and keeps the skin mousturized and hydrated. It's also non-greasy and feels soft and smooth. I've really liked it, and it doesn't affect my acne or anything. Just gently put on as much as needed, and it feels so nice! Why does the oil produced from our skin turn black (blackheads) while other types of oil doesn't change colour?

Like I never see vegetable oil change from yellow into black...so why does the oil produced from our skin changes from yellow into black? Why does the oil produced from our skin turn black (blackheads) while other types of oil doesn't change colour?
because the oil in your blackheads gets mixed with a protein called keratin, which is a tough fiber material that holds your skin together. keratin darkens as it reacts with air. so it is not the oil that is becoming black, its the keratin. Why does the oil produced from our skin turn black (blackheads) while other types of oil doesn't change colour?

Any tips on getting rid of blackheads and/or dry skin?

    Heather,

Don't use a lotion with mineral oil to it it only makes dry skin more dry!

Also you need a regime for cell turn over an exf. and mask.

I use Arbonne and love it. It self adjusts to all skin types.

They make two lines one for anti aging (the 30 + crowd)

or the intelg. line for younger people. It also comes with a mask in the regime. You also have 45 days to return the items if you dislike it.

I have oily skin for the most part, and get pimples all the time. I tried this stuff about a month and a half before getting married and for the first week or so I did notice a difference, but after that it made my skin very dry. The directions say to use it twice a day and I did for a while, but once you stop using it twice a day, for me my skin went back to normal and using Pro-Active no longer helped. I stopped wasting my money on it and tried something else, but I still haven't found anything that works!!! I would say if you use it everyday twice a day it may work, but I don't recommend it.

What products or regimens work well to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads and don't dry out the skin?

Step 1 - Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.

Step 2 - Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.

Step 3 - Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

鈥eep your hair away from your face. Greasy hair and skin go together, and hair can spread infection.

How to remove blackheads from inner thigh and cure dark skin?

    don't pick them!!

Blackheads are the slightly different sibling of zits, and like zits, squeezing them can be addictive. Composed of the same oil, or sebum, that contributes to the production of pimples, blackheads result from a building up of this oil in pores 鈥?the difference in appearance is the result of the blackhead鈥檚 exposure to the air, the reaction of which with the oil causes the trademark black color of these blemishes. And while blackheads are more easily obscured by makeup, they can seem less offensive to the sufferer, and as a result, less damaging to squeeze. But the bad news is that this is not the best way of removing blackheads 鈥?the fun stuff is always bad for us! And while squeezing them might be fun, getting rid of them altogether sounds better. So what is the best way to remove blackheads from our lives? Here are some tips for removing blackheads for good.

So, how to get rid of blackheads? Like pimples, blackheads are the result of an underlying skin problem 鈥?the over production of oil by glands contained in our skin, exacerbated by the improper shedding of old skin 鈥?and rather than removing blackheads by squeezing, the best way to get rid of them is by attacking the source of the problem. A good cleansing routine is one of the best ways to remove blackheads, as it will help wash away excess oil and dead skin particles. A gentle cleanser is a good choice as it won鈥檛 dry out the skin excessively (which results in the production of even more of that nasty sebum!). Combined with the use of a gentle exfoliant, which will help remove old skin cells, this is all you need to help keep your skin blackhead free.

But we all know that blackheads can be persistent, so how to get rid of blackheads that are more stubborn? Aggressive manipulation of the skin is never good, and so tips for removing blackheads include above all else a gentle touch. Before attempting to squeeze a blackhead, open up your pores by steaming your face, and then use a blackhead remover or some clean tissue to remove the blockage. Remember 鈥?the best way to remove blackheads is to be gentle! An overly heavy hand will only force the blockage deeper into the skin, causing dreaded zits! Surely squeezing isn鈥檛 worth that!

Use cocoa better to cure dark skin and maybe visit a dermatologist in the future!

  • What products should i use to clear blemishes and blackheads? and i have really sensitive skin..?

ive gotten allergic reactions to proactiv solution and clearsel i need something to completely clear my face of blemishes and blackheads but also for really sensitive skin...Help!!!!!What products should i use to clear blemishes and blackheads? and i have really sensitive skin..?
Here, try using these great home remedies.

Using Lemon is the best thing to reduce the marks and blemishes on the skin. It can be applied directly on the skin.

You can also rub a lemon peel on the skin with a little sugar on it or without the sugar. After rubbing it leave it on the skin for at least 10 minutes. If you practice this regularly you can reduce the scars/marks finely.

Grate potatoes, wrap them in a cloth and take out the juice. Mix few drops of lemon juice and honey to it and apply it on your face. If you don't want to apply it all over the face then apply only on the marks. Wash off after 20 minutes. (Potato has bleaching agents, which reduces the blemishes.)

Make a mixture of tomato juice and lemon juice. You can fill it in a bottle and keep it in the refrigerator. You can apply this mixture on your face daily with a cotton ball.

Honey added in milk powder helps in reducing the blemishes.

If you have real dark blemishes on the skin make a powder of dry lemon peels and orange peels.

Drinking lots of water to keep the skin hydrate and detoxified.

    Good Luck

=)What products should i use to clear blemishes and blackheads? and i have really sensitive skin..?
    This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good consistancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. These two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. But this is not recommended to everyone because it can make it worse.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard when you wash your face, because it can irritate your skin.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one or two tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars. Zinc can be found in many types of fishes.

If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands are full of bacteria and oils. Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water. Aloe vera helps acne scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.
The main reasons for breakouts is actually hormones. So if you're a teen, it's more about trying to contain the damage. Be careful when using over the counter stuff, because a lot of it is aimed at 'drying' the zits out. Try using an acne product that you only apply to the actual zit.

Something you should be doing twice a day is exfoliating. St. Ives has a 'Microdermabrasion' product that does a FANTASTIC job of this, and a tube is only a few bucks. And be sure to moisturize as well.

Being on some birth control pills can do wonderful things for your skin. I'm not sure how old you are, but it's something to consider if you are old enough to get them without a huge fuss. ';But Mom! It's so I'll have better skin!'; Probably will just get you in trouble if you're 13 or 14. *grin*
Look at the ingredients on Proactive and Clearasil to see what you might be allergic to. That should help you to find another product that you might not react to.

Neutrogena has a great line of products.

Aveeno has a good line of products from what I can tell. My skin is prone to break outs. I've used both of these lines.

    Cetaphil is a good one.

Prescriptives - expensive but worth it in my view, the moisturizer anyway (anti-age), makes my skin look great
The best way to loosen them is to keep your skin clean and steam your face.Steaming loosens their hold on the skin and then apply a scrubber on the skin followed by a face pack to close the pores.

You can also apply undiluted lemon juice on the blackheads twice a day.

The best thing for sensitive skin is nivea young stuff, promise you because I've tried everything and my skin is sooooooooooo sensitive-think you're my soul sister! xxx
Anything by Neutrogena their stuff is very gentle. Or Vichy it is expensive but again it is gentle.
go to a dermatologist if you can. the stuff they can give you is definitely way better than over the counter stuff.
Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Scrub works GREAT for me and I have super sensitive skin. I saw fewer blackheads in just 2 days..no joke. And it's gentle enough to use every day. I do!

depending on how severe your blackheads are, a dermotologist will perscribe a topical cream for mild cases and a pill such as doryx for severe cases. although doryx can only be purchased over the counter or at your local dermotologist's office, it is a highly effective way of treating acne. for dry skin, you might consider a product called aquaphor or eucream. these products work well on repleshing skin and are specially used for exema or very dry skin.
